Together Sonja and Richard Rauch are a congenial team for several years, enthusiastic for a gastronomy that integrates tradition and pioneering innovation equally. With a kitchen which is concentrated on regional top products, but also opens the view of the best quality from the near Alpe-Adria-Room. Thanks plenty talent, many passion and much more of personal use they have transformed the idyllic Steirawirt in one of the most interesting addresses in the country.
According to the gastronomic development of Steirawirt Richard Rauch leaves his guests the choice between two kitchen lines: Firstly, the imaginative gourmet area with exciting, often bewildering creations in visually impressive presentations, but always that the enjoyable, uninhibited experience stands in the foreground. Secondly, the finest, classic Austrian cuisine with mainly typical Styrian specialties, but of course only the best products from selected suppliers are used.
